Mr. Polapink is Vice President and Chief Actuary for Price Raffel & Browne Administrators, Inc. in Los Angeles California. Paul started his actuarial career with The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America where he subsequently served as the Director of Pension Services Corporation until joining PRBAI in 1977.

Paul was enrolled with the Joint Board for the Enrollment of Actuaries in 1976. He is a Member of the American Society of Pension Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Founder and Director of the College of Pension Actuaries.

Paul served on ASPA’s Education and Examination Committee as an instructor, item writer and sub-committee chair. Mr. Polapink was named as a Director of ASPA in 1990. Paul also served as General Chairman of the E & E Committee from 1990 to 1992. Mr. Polapink assumed the Presidency of ASPA in 1993 and also served as a Director for the American Academy of Actuaries in 1993 and 1994.

Paul was subsequently named General Chairperson of ASPA’s Long Range Planning Committee and continued in his role as a member of the Steering Committee for the Los Angeles Benefits Conference.

Mr. Polapink has been a featured speaker at many local and national seminars including ASPA, NIPA New York University and the Los Angeles Benefits Conference. Paul has also written numerous articles and has been quoted in national publications.
