Rick is the senior actuary with Block Consulting Actuaries, Inc. He is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and an Enrolled Actuary.

Rick has lectured at conferences with the American Academy of Actuaries the American Society of Pension Actuaries, the National Institute of Pension Administrators, the Beverly Hills Bar Association and the Las Vegas chapter of the Western Pension Conference.

Rick served as the Editor in Chief of the American Society of Pension Actuaries' monthly newsletter, The Pension Actuary and as its Director.

For relaxation, Rick has been known to compete successfully in amateur automobile racing. Rick is also a member of Kiwanis, International and is a past President of the Manhattan Beach club.
