FAS 158 for the Pension Actuary

A presentation and open forum with instructor Richard Kutikoff covering
FAS 158 - FASB's changes to statements 87, 88, 106 and 132(R) regarding
Employers' Accounting for Defined Benefit Pension and Other Post
Retirement Plans -- which is generally effective for Fiscal Years
beginning after December 15, 2006. The primary focus will be the
calculation of expense, the new disclosures, the impact on the company's
balance sheet, income statement and other financial statements.
Additional discussion can include issues for plan sponsors, the
viewpoint of other users of financial statements on FAS 158 and future
changes contemplated by FASB. Discussion and examples will focus on
pension plans, not other post employment benefits.
The estimated CE credit for this program is 1.5 hours.
Webcast participants will receive an email with example calculations attached.
