Values and Goals Committee

Purpose:
This committee is responsible for keeping our Mission Statement, our Strategic Plan, and our By-Laws up to date. Membership consists of the entire Board of Directors. The committee obtains input from the Membership Relations and Leadership Committee and the Senior Advisory Board as well as from direct observation. When appropriate, this committee, functioning as the Board of Directors, may amend our Mission Statement or our Strategic Plan. Similarly, it may make recommendations to COPA’s membership regarding changes in our By-Laws.
Goals for 2005 and 2006:
The years 2005 and 2006 will be formative years. As we gain knowledge from experience, we expect to identify desirable changes in our Mission Statement, our Strategic Plan, and our By-Laws. Once identified, we expect to implement these changes. After 2006, the frequency of these course corrections should be considerably reduced.
